PLAYER CONDUCT

To ensure we are providing the best experience possible, all players are expected to display Good Gamer Behavior as listed below. Under no circumstances will unsportsmanlike conduct be allowed and/or tolerated. We will promptly enforce penalties up to and including disqualification of any participants that we find are violating any of the items below.

1. Abusive behavior, including harassment and threats is prohibited.
2. Gambling, including betting on the outcome of games, is prohibited.
3. Collusion is defined as any agreement among two or more Players to disadvantage other Players in the competition. Collusion between Players is strictly prohibited.

– Any form of match-fixing.

– Agreeing to split prize money.

 

Respect your opponents, team, and tournament staff. Play with integrity in all matches.
Don’t be toxic. This means NO:

• Cursing
• Sexism
• Racism
•  Homophobic remarks
• Taunting
• Bullying
• Lewd/NSFW remarks or posts

Tournament Staff reserves the right to disqualify any player that violates player conduct rules without warning. If a player is disqualified, the match is a forfeit and a loss is recorded for disqualified player.

General Guidelines

• You may use any of the 32 NFL teams from the Madden 2021 roster. No other teams are allowed (Created teams, all madden, canton greats, etc.)
• You may change teams between rounds.
• You may change your playbook between rounds.
• Seeding and matchups for the tournament will be done by random draw.
• Coin toss for first team pick. Winner of the coin flip prior to the start of the game determines home/away team and choice of first or second team pick.
• In the event a game ends with the score tied, the game will go into overtime.
• In the event of a power loss or system freeze, the game will be restarted with “situational setup” to exactly match the score, settings, quarter, time, and possession and play will resume.
• No one may assist another player with decisions during the game.
• Excessive intentional penalties will result in disqualification.
• Onside Kicks are permitted ONLY: When the kickoff team is down by 21+  or When the kicking team is losing in the 4th Quarter
•  Substitutions can ONLY be made: In game, Before the kickoff, At halftime, If a timeout is called.
• The tournament Supervisor reserves the right to make changes to the tournament format at any time.

Cheating, Glitches, Reporting a Violation:

• NO CHEATING!
•  If you believe your opponent is cheating by abusing game programming glitches to gain advantage, or is violating the parameters set by the IM Staff, report it immediately. The decision made by the supervisor on disqualification or point penalty is final.

• Playbook: Any Madden
• Game Style: Competitive
• Stadium: Home Team Stadium

All other settings set at default

A player can pick the same team as the opponent.

ADDITIONAL RULES MERCY RULE

24-Point Rule: If a team is up by 24 points or more in the 4th quarter, the game is a mercy victory for the leading team if losing team agrees.

WHAT HAPPENS IF A TEAM OR PLAYER DOESN’T SHOW UP ON TIME?

There is a 10-minute grace period. If a player doesn’t show up on time, then the other player is awarded the win and the entire match is forfeited. Notify the @moderator on Discord to report a no-show.
